Surprise at Star City Motor Madness
Each year Star City Motor Madness donates funds to the Virginia Museum of Transportation and this year in addition to a monetary donation the organizing committee of Star City Motor Madness was pleased to donate this rare vehicle. Where else should one of two remaining Piedmont cars be enshrined than at the Virginia Museum of Transportation!
This particular car is actually branded as a Bush but is identical to a Piedmont and made in the Piedmont factory in Lynchburg. It has a 4 cylinder side-valve engine. The vehicle does run but a ring gear must be fabricated before it is fully operational. The car is in original condition and there are no plans to restore it, only to preserve it and keep it in running condition. The car will be moved into the museum as soon as some work is completed on it.
