When and Where is SCMM?

Event dates are: Friday June 27 and Saturday June 28, 2008 in Roanoke, Virginia. Event details below.

The June 27th cruise night covers 7 miles of Williamson Road (U.S. Route 11). Williamson Road is the classic American strip. Originally this was the main road into Roanoke from the north. As U.S. Route 11 it was, and to a certain extent, remains home to motels, restaurants, auto dealers, retail stores, schools and more. A four lane with plenty of lights to stop and admire other cars, it was the quintessential cruise route in the 1950s and 1960s. In many ways it is still a cruise route 365 days a year, though the cars have changed!

While there is no official start or finish to the cruise route, there are two SCMM events on Williamson Road, one on the south end and one on the north end where cruisers can stop, one at the Civic Mall, near the Roanoke Civic Center, one at the former Woodson Pontiac dealership (now Berglund Credit Line)
