Not only will our famous cruise and car show be back bigger than ever, we have a special guest this year, George Barris, King of Kustomizers. Click here for more information. Plus on Saturday during the car show our featured automotive brand this year is Corvette, Well over 100 Corvettes will be shown as well as a display from the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The event enters its seventh year in 2008. Over the last six years Star City Motor Madness has drawn from throughout the Mid-Atlantic and beyond. Through fees from the participants and donations from sponsors, the event raises money for the Virginia Museum of Transportation which is located in Roanoke. For spectators all activities are free!
Friday, June 27, 6pm to 10pm

Cruise Night

Cruise Williamson Road, Roanoke's main drag for cruising since the 1950s. Open to any "classic" or "special interest" car that creates a feeling of nostalgia, stimulates a memory or fulfills a fantasy. Spectators are invited to line both sides of Williamson Road to enjoy the cruise.

Spectators Note: Please use side streets to reach your destination on Williamson Road, leaving the road open just for cruising vehicles.

Berglund Credit Line
(Former Woodson Pontiac Dealership)
3926 Williamson Road
Food vendor, D.J and parking for Cruisers.

Civic Mall
1502 Williamson Road
Live music, attractions for kids, parking for Cruisers and antique buses from the Commonwealth Coach and Trolley Museum.
Neon Glow Competition at 9pm with trophies for top 3 cars. Register at Civic Mall beginning at 6pm.

Advance Auto Parts Pit Stop
Location on Williamson Road to be announced

There is a one-time $5 charge for cruiser parking that may be paid at Berglund Credit Line or Civic Mall. This entitles cruisers to park at either location throughout the night. (Parking is limited.) Those wishing to show their car the next day may register Friday night at Berglund Credit Line or Civic Mall.

Saturday, June 28, 2pm to 7pm
Car/Truck/Motorcycle Show
Show held on Jefferson St. between Campbell Ave. and Elm Ave., on Franklin Road between Jefferson St. and Williamson Road and at Elmwood Park.

Car, truck and motorcycle show with hundreds of vehicles expected from antiques to hot rods to motorcycles.

Special Section of Car Show
Featured Automotive Brand: Corvette
Over 100 Corvette owners from the East Coast and Midwest will be bringing their Corvettes to this special section of the car show. Check out the display from the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. General Motors is displaying a prototype of the new Corvette ZR1.

Live music 1:30 to 6:30pm with the band, "Encore"
